Hi, I'm Shaun

I’m a Security Solution Area Specialist at Microsoft, retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander, and technology leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations secure their environments, modernize infrastructure, and navigate complex technology challenges.

My journey has taken me from network operations aboard naval warships and combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan to cloud transformation, cybersecurity strategy, and digital innovation for government and commercial organizations around the world.

Today, I help organizations strengthen their security posture, accelerate cloud adoption, and leverage emerging technologies to achieve their mission objectives.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

— Winston Churchill

Service, Leadership & Continuous Learning

My foundation was built through two decades of service in the United States Navy, where I led communications, cybersecurity, and information technology teams across the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Along the way, I’ve supported thousands of users, managed enterprise-scale technology initiatives, and worked alongside some of the most talented professionals in government and industry.

I believe great leaders never stop learning. Whether mentoring transitioning service members, coaching youth sports, supporting nonprofit organizations, or helping customers solve difficult challenges, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for others to succeed.

Speaking & Community

I enjoy sharing lessons learned from military service, cybersecurity, cloud adoption, leadership, and career transitions.

As a veteran, mentor, husband, father, and technology professional, I understand that success is rarely achieved alone. The people who invest in us, challenge us, and support us often make the biggest difference in our journey.

That is why I remain committed to helping others navigate their own path — whether they’re transitioning from military service, pursuing a career in technology, or leading transformational change within their organizations.

Beyond Technology

When I’m not working with customers or studying emerging technologies, you’ll likely find me spending time with my family, coaching youth sports, working on home improvement projects, grilling in the backyard, or cheering on my favorite teams.

Technology may be my profession, but service, leadership, faith, family, and community are what drive me every day.
